I have a chance to purchase four michelin LTX 265/70/17 E rated tires. They only have a thousand miles on them as the owner is looking for something bigger for his 05 2500. My question is will they fit on my dually? Anyone running these? I need tires badly and would like to jump on this deal if they will work.

If you do a search on the subject you will come up with a couple of discussions on this. To the best of my memory there is someone who is running the 265s and doing okay. Personally, me thinks this not the best solution. So, I was going to try 245s for winter tires because of the availability and price difference. But then I found a set of Cooper STs 235s with wheels for a good price. I've been quite happy with the Coop STs winter tread.

I have read the 265 wants a 8 in. rim,our dually's come with 6 in. . I'v seen two with dual wheels, factory rims runninng 265 70 17 Buckshots LR D. They look good about an inch of space between the rears with no spacers. They told me they have had no problems hauling hay and equipment with them.
