A while ago, I did a conversion on an '03 driveline and I'm not sure the fan clutch is engaging properly. I did not install the a/c compressor (which it had on the donor) but I don't know if that's part of the problem.
I sort of recall hearing it engage in the past, but not lately.
For starters, is the fan clutch 12v and can it be unplugged and jumped to test it?
While I never topped 205, I lost a bit of fluid out the overflow. I "cored out the thermostat", and while it takes longer to warm, it still runs up to 195/200which leads me to believe that the thermostat was fine and either the fan isn't engaging or the water pump isn't flowing correctly. Haven't done a flow test on the water pump yet.
No current codes other than an a/c code (expected) and no speed sensor (again, expected).
Thanks in advance.
