I had a peek at the service items on the new truck. Really does not look too bad. I have seen and worked on worse.

One think I noticed is the fuel filter looks easier to get to than my 97. The other is that the filter housing appears to have a black screw-on top with a hex for a wrench. If that is the case is it simply a matter of unscrewing the top, lifting out the old filter and dropping the new one in? The owner's manual is of no help. I doubt if anyone on the list has changed it yet, but I thought I would mention it in case one of the tech types on the list knows. Cheers.

Also anyone know when Geno's is going to update their filter list to include the new trucks.

Sounds just like the late 2nd gens. On mine, it was drain the fuel filter (it will only drain so much), then use a socket to crack open the top. . Then the rest of the fuel will drain out. Then pull the filter out, remove it and the O-ring from the lid, replace both, and put back together.

I'd like to know when Geno's is going to update anything on their web site. It's so out of date that it's not funny.
