'03 had a seizure today

started wifes truck ... let it warm up about 5 minutes



took off up the hill at the house ...



while in 3rd at about 30-35 it started revving between 2000 and 2500 rpms



at first i thought throttle had hung up on something ...



pulled foot up but no good



kicked her into neutral and coasted into neighbors driveway ...



it just revved real gentle up and down ...



shut it off and tried twice to restart ... just cranked no start



so i cycled the key three times and got no codes



hit the key and it cranked right up



drove to store and back with no problems or codes whatsoever



the box was off the whole time



turned it on on the way home and it just drove perfectly



??????????????????



i'm gonna drive it the next couple of days in case it tries again

Same box like problem today. Had gone to the store with the box off, till its up to operating temp. Left the store and turned the box on to 60 after about 3. 5 miles I made a turn into dirt road in 3rd and rpms when up to 2000 or so and the motor started to sound really sour with no power, turned the box off, no change and limped home about a 1/2 mile. Shut her down waited about a minute and it started on first try and was running fine, drove about a mile and turned the box back on to 60 and it was okay. Kinda strange, I too will be watch it for a while to see what happens. I wonder if more people have had the same happen?

I will be installing the quad race box tomarrow on my 2004. I am starting to hear stories of throwing codes and such. Makes me a little nervous,my TS ramifier(adjustable) has been flawless since the install in feb of this year. I guess we will see what happens tomarrow with the install. Hope all goes well. coobie

i don't believe the box had anything to do with it ...



no codes thrown and the box hadn't been on all week



wife did tell me that she had just fueled up the night before ...



so 10 minutes of operating time prior to the event it had a new tank of fuel that was put in in the rain
