Anybody had problems with their '03 Air Conditioning system? I have had my truck in the shop 3 or 4 times. Shop can't seem to figure out problem. The output is cool, not cold in 75 degree weather and I get "fog" out of the vents. The truck was bought in Vegas and is now in San Diego. Any ideas? I know nothing about air systems.

There is a TSB for a flap motor breaking inside the airbox. You're probably out of warranty, so ...

Yeah, my 03 has a weird one. The air on the right side of the cab is luke-warm at best while the A/C on the drivers side is pretty cool. But not cool enough for the entire cabin of the truck. I hope you figure some thing out. The first thing I was told was to check the coolant and make sure it was up to snuff. I have not done that yet, maybe this will be the weekend now that the weather is warming up...

Mines broke down twice. First time it was the condensing coil (little rad). Now it's the evaporator sensor, which causes the evaporator coil to ice up. An inexpensive part with a huge amount of labour involved in changing it. If you run a search theres reems of info on this subject from last year. Pete

Of the 5 Ram trucks I've owned my '03 had the hardest time cooling the cabin. It was the only 3rd Gen I owned. It seemed to kick out cold air readily enough, just acted like it wasn't engineered well in terms of circulation and left quite a few hot and cold spots. Being a Pat. Blue truck didn't help, and it really struggled by the time it reached 105. My Pat. Blue '01 did better in 110F than my '03 did at 100.
