03 ho doesn't want to shift out of 1st.

Got a 03 ho 4x4 with the auto, it doesn't want to shift out of 1st, when it does it slips in and out. some times it will shift not to bad, works ok after the 1st to 2nd. 2 to 3 etc, good. Whats the deal ?

Is this at WOT or not?



Has it been throwing codes?



More information needed, otherwise your best bet is to get the PCM checked.

4x4,if you accelerate very lightly it will sometimes shift sooner, no codes

a buddy's truck did the same thing it is a bad electrical sensor on the trans. his name on here is DMriscin you can PM him if you want to know the exact one.

Transducer and pressure governor switch replaced in mine fixed the problem.
