Good Morning Members

I am trying to determine interest, and/or whether this is the best venue to offer my truck for sale. I absolutely love my truck, and would not normally consider ever selling at this time. Due to circumstances beyond my control, the vehicle may have to go.

The truck in my sig currently has 42380 miles on the odo, mostly towing miles. I can provide a complete list of aftermarket/oem products included, via a pm or phone call to anyone interested. There are no mechanical issues, and other than some minor road rash the vehicle is cosmetically clean in and out(non-smoker). I thought I would start out in the $28/30k range, what do you think?

Here are some pics, they are a couple years old, but other than it is now sporting Montana License Plates, all remains the same.

well i just bought my 04.5 in washington with 55k on it but a long bed with similiar exhaust. Same color even....The guy was asking 29,500.00 wich i had to give him full price due to he had a line of people and another guy willing to give him full price. I was first in line thou so i got first crack. He even had a guy coming all the way from eastern WA. If it was mine and you where not in a hurry. With 42k miles on it i would start out at 33,000.00.

I believed there might be more interest, but it is a 10 year old truck.

Keeping the vehicle for myself would be my preference, and there is no one in my immediate family who is able to purchase it at this time, so it's sale is imminent.

Not looking for any sympathy here, I know you find sympathy between shat and siphyllus in the dictionary, but here is my dilemma... October 1st I was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal adenocarcinoma. I underwent an aggressive regimen of both chemo and radiation therapy, by early January of this of this year, the tumor where my esophagus meets my stomach and surrounding lymph nodes were clear of any cancer...February the disease had metastasized and is now in my left hip and at the C5-6 level of my cervical spine, it is still classified as esophageal cancer, but is now attacking my bones, stage 4, terminal.

I am not an overly religious person, but a sometimes practicing Catholic, I would appreciate any and all prayers offered, grateful and thankful to receive them. Donna, my wife knows how much time I spend on TDR and how important it is to me, thought I should have shared this earlier, and as usual she is probably correct. It is just a hard subject to talk about, and with emotions so close to the surface, it is hard to even put to print.

To say it has disrupted our lives, and plans to live out retirement in Montana is an understatement. I am currently in the hospital with non-specific pneumonitis...the doctors did a saline flush, wet and dry cultures yesterday, already feeling stronger, funny how being able to get your breath does that. They are throwing a whole battery of antibiotics at the infection, and when they determine which one, or combination is helping, they will release me.

Again, I would like to Thank every member of TDR, if for nothing else, just putting up with me and my strong opinions. As you can surmise, the truck will be sold, just not sure of the time frame at the moment, but I would like to see a CTD/TDR enthusiast end up with it. Thanks for listening and allowing me the pleasure of this Forum.

Mr Page, I am truly sorry to hear of your misfortunes. We will most certainly keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr Page,

The thoughts and prayers of my entire family are with you today and for the days to come. I also have a couple of close friends that are Priests that I will ask to add you and your family to their mass intentions.

Jess,

Very sorry to hear of your illness and my sincere best wishes to you, the family and all.

Best regards,

Gary

I too am sorry to hear about your illness, and what you are going through, religion is man made, Jesus Christ is not, He is God's son and he is the only way for salvation, "The only way to the Father is through Jesus the son,No man can redeam us or forgive us for all of our sins, Only God through his son, You will be in my prayers, and i hope you know Christ as your personal savior , Brother in Christ,Monte

Thanks for the kind words!
Doc just came by, says I may get to go home tomorrow, if I keep improving my oxygen saturation level to my lungs.

Good news!

If you decide to sell you can PM me some pictures and info and I would be happy to post it here locally. You would be surprised how far people will travel around here just to find a good clean rust free truck.

Mr Page. You are indeed one of the regulars here on the TDR I am saddened to learn of your situation. I hope you can deal with the situation in the manner of your choosing. My prayers for you include your reconciliation with your faith, the Lord's mercy is endless.

JJ I am so sad to here what you are going through and you are in our thoughts and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. Sincere best wishes from the Taylor Family!

Still in hospital, can't seem to get an upper hand on the pneumonia.

I know with the low mileage a higher price is usually acceptable, however I do have some modifications that some folks would not feel comfortable with, and would rather buy a rig that was completely oem/stock.

I won't re-list the items in my sig, the truck has BD's R700 compound turbo kit, both turbo's have just recently been outfitted with fresh seals/bearings (the S474 was weeping). Stock injector bodies and tips, that Don M extrude honed to flow equal to F1.5's, Walbro lift pump, Arson III CP3 kit(have all oem components too), extra fuel filtration down to 2 microns. GDP intake horn, all new silicon boost hoses, new last fall Platinum diehards. There are probably more, but my head not really clear at the moment.

Some of these mods would lead a person to believe that this truck has been setup to be, or has been hot rodded, not the case at all, never pulled, never raced/tracked, I have really not ever performed a boosted launch with it. The hardest it has ever worked has been on a dyno.

I do not expect my word to be sufficient, you can call an uninterested party to inquire if you wish. Speak with Bryan at Diesel Power Products about my truck, he has nothing to gain or lose, and I would trust him to be honest about my 03, if that's good or bad, I would accept his rating/opinion. You could also talk to Richard at GDP, he is not real familiar with my truck, but knows enough about me that I'm sure he can conclude I'm not a hot rodding imbecile.

Gotta go, nurses are back. If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to pm, or ask them here, I don't mind. Jess

Jess,
I will keep you in my prayers. I'm sure it isn't easy at all, but just put your trust in Jesus the One that cares so much for each of us!
God bless your family!!

I want to Thank all who are offering prayer, you cannot imagine how that feels, the lift in spirits they provide is profound.

Was speaking with my wife, we need to utilize the truck to move our 5th wheel back onto it's pad in Thompson Falls, we had moved it previously to gain access to our septic system for the new home. We also need to haul several loads of belongings back to our home in Spokane, hopefully we can accomplish this in the next month, then the truck will be officially on the market. I am willing to deal with interested parties(rain check...) now, as long as they realize the truck has a couple of more jobs it has to complete for my family.

Thanks, Jess

I received a PM and a call yesterday from a young man from Butte, he currently has an 06 Mega, 6sp, same color as mine, with EFI tuning from Gomer's. I actually met him and his truck last year, he's going to school in Butte. His Father(who I am a new acquaintance/friend, and is familiar (kinda) with my truck) has called me twice in the last 24 hrs, offering financial backing (cash) for his son.

No dickering/dealing, he's offering $30k cash. WOW! Now I have to get my truck ready to part with it :( . I am compiling all my documentation, getting everything ready to turn it over on the next trip to Thompson Falls, it has one more chore to complete for me, moving my 5vr back onto it's pad in TFalls, then it's duty to me is complete.

This is hard, never have I been this attached to a vehicle, and I know it is irreplaceable, I also know I cannot take it with me :) . These trucks sure seem to be in demand, my cousin just called me from Belfield, ND, says it would sell afterwork at the bars any night of the week at that price...

I plan to stay a sideline member on TDR, this has been such a pleasure to belong to this Forum, you folks are the absolute best, and have taught/saved me way more than the $35 annual membership extracted.

Thank You All! Jess

It's Gone!

Hardest time I've ever experienced parting with a vehicle. This 03 was such a great rig, I certainly hope the new owner appreciates it as much as he appeared to. He certainly did not have any trouble laying down $30k.
