Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I thought they were coming out with a 5 speed auto. I was told by two dealers that around Jan. they will have a 4 speed auto behind the HO and not the 5 speed.
Since I have a bad left leg and hip I am stuck with an automatic trans. I test drove a 4 speed auto and it drove ok but not really different than my 98. 5. It is very quite at an idle but seems louder on the highway, both engine and road noise. My 98 had a better ride than the 2500 I was driving, but the extra room in the back seat was nice.
I was close to trading in for one, but it was not worth my truck plus 20 grand for something I already have. I have spent a lot of time and $'s getting my truck the way I want. Since there is no 5 speed in the near future I will stick with my old 98. On the plus side, I now have a few extra dollars to spend on bombing. Oo. Oo.
