I bouhgt this truck used with 17500 miles on it. Since the first tank of fuel I have only gotten 14 mpg. Not even close to what I get with my jucied up 97 with 205000 miles on it. Any thoughts?

Around town I get about 12 to 14. If I'm nice to the throttle on the highway I can eek out 17. 5, but usually I'm at 16. 5 (75-ish).

If you're driving around town a lot I don't think it's too unusual.

I'm getting about what JCleary is getting. Mine is the gutless 235 HP Ca. version, 48RE. John

I forgot to add that I have the original size tires on, no lift, AFE Magnum intake, TAG and gages, bombs coming soon! JR

Weird. . I get 19+ but do spend a considerable amount of time locked in OD @ 50 - 55 mph only because of the mountain highway I drive. Flat Freeway driving is better yet.

Mine is the CA, SO, 3. 73, auto with 285 tires.
