How much horsepower before upgrading a clutch?

Having wished I bought the HO (more for the six speed transmission) I figured when the clutch goes I'll just convert it to an NV5600. So, I called Blumenthal's today and inquired about the conversion kit. I told him it was for an '03 and he said the transmission is just under $2500 new and the conversion kit is around $170 for all the parts. Shipping to Denver is around $175. They sell the clutch and flywheel for $900. Then, I'd have to lengthen and shorten the driveshafts.

So, the way I see it:

2500

200 (rounded up from $170)

200 (rounded up from $175)

175 (lengthen/shorten driveshafts)

900

(600) (subtract NV4500 clutch)

(1000) (subtract sale of old NV4500)

Total: $2375 cost for new transmission minus the cost of the clutch I'd be putting in the NV4500 anyway.

I'm not sure if this is worth it or not but it's certainly fun to ponder! Depending on how upside-down I'd be in my truck it may be easier to buy a new one with the six speed.
