03 Paint Jobs?

I called the dealer today to see if the truck i wanted was in so i could drive it. It still had not come in so the owner of the dealership called to check on the truck. About 1 hour later he called the say that the truck would not come in due to the paint job. He stated that Dodge had some bad paint jobs coming out of Mexico and that this truck was one of them. Anyone else hear anything about this? Supposedly the paint has pin holes in it and Dodge is worried about it peeling.

Are all the diesels built in Mexico? Looke on local dealer lot and few diesels there were all from Mexico.

I think it's all Quad-Cabs or "luck of the draw". The truck plant selection is made by the computer. There are several factors and I don't remember all them. Out of four Dodge trucks in the last 11 years, I had one from St. Louis and the rest were from Mexico.

I understood that all duallys are being built in Mexico. They are trying to streamline their assembly process.



That is probably the same reason why newly ordered trucks go to D1 status so quickly.
