Just heard on the morning news that DC is having a recall on the engine controller to update the software. Might this be related to the "go" pedal problem? Not sure but it could be.

Da diesel-less SOTSU!!

This is what I saw on TV and after doing a search the only info I can find. Anyone have anything else?

Auburn Hills, Mich. , Jun 7, 2002 - Chrysler Group is recalling some 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickups to reinforce an axle bracket, and also 1997-1998 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with diesel engines to replace a fitting in the engine compartment.

- Chrysler Group is recalling 46,000 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickups to address a potentially weak weld on a rear axle bracket. The recall affects only four-wheel drive models built prior to November, 2001. No complaints have been received on this long-term durability issue that may affect less than four percent of vehicles. Dealers will install a reinforcement bracket.

- Approximately 111,000 1997-1998 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with diesel engines will be recalled to replace a fitting in the engine compartment that could corrode from road salt used during winter months in the Midwest. Dealers will install new fittings in the engine compartment with improved corrosion resistance.

I was kind of hoping they would fix that intermittent check engine light while they were at it. Actually, haven't seen that light in a while. It's been replaced by the "Washer Fluid" light which comes on just as regularly and goes away in an instant.
