Last night me, and the family went out to eat, an after wards decide to go cruising in the CTD. Well I got on the interstate an head north toward a state park we normally go to about 60 miles away. About 10 miles from were I got on the entrance ramp I caught a glimpse of a (red) flash on the dash panel on the far left. It was lightning fast. Ended up going a total of 119 miles round trip back to the house. Truck just turned over 14,000 miles when I noticed the flash. I watched the panel pretty close after wards and never seen it happen again. All gauges read normal and truck seems fine in all aspects. Wondering what would cause that millisecond flash.

The infamous "check gauges" light. A lot of them do it. There's a TSB to reflash the gauge cluster.
Ok! I'll keep a eye on it, I've had check engine, or check gauges lites come on before on other vehicles, but they would stay on awhile and then go out. This is the first time I ever seen any indication of any malfunction light come on. Any one had a reflash done and did it screw up anything else when you had it done.

Many of our trucks do it occasionally. Mine tends to do it when it's humid out (rain, or thick fog). I think a while ago, someone found a suspect connector on one of the sensors, you may want to check. I watch the gauges, and never see a problem. Doesn't worry me enough to let the dealer touch it.
