Hi, i was just wondering how everyone is making out with the 03 and up 24 valve trucks. Mine did great untill i hit 50,000 miles now i can't seem to keep it on the road. My truck is stock, I use it 99% of the time on road, and never get close to over loading it. Here are my problems. .

47,000, miles Driver side front axle end u-joint went bad for the 4x4. When replacing they told me i had to pay for the wheel bearing because it broke when they pulled it off.

51,000 miles, lift pump failed. Put a fuel pressure guage in after filter to monitor pump and filter.

58,000 miles, lift pump failed.

62,000 miles, lift pump failed. This time they put a pump in the fuel tank see how that works out.

64,000 miles, my radiator just separated from the plastic tanks. Have to get it towed to the dealer now. Hope that is covered under the added care extended warenty.

Sorry to hear about your problems.

My '03 has been pretty good. Just changed out the A/C compressor at 47,000 miles.

Had injector knocking issues which DC would not address. Fixed it myself by using fuel additives.

Had a few other small problems that were taken care of by the dealer (alternator bracket cracking & inside door window seals, etc. ).

Other than that, the truck has been pretty reliable.

I don't know what to say. Maybe I got lucky. When I traded in my 03 4x4 DRW @90k miles the only problem I'd had was the vacuum pump for the Jacobs went south at 46K. And I was HARD on the truck. 500 hp stock injectors, stock lift pump, lifted 2" with 19. 5" wheels and 35" tires, flat bed towing 13K all over the place. Never any issues.

Sounds like you got a truck with a bad attitude. Sorry for your trouble. Did they fix the radiator for you?

Man thats sucks... All I can say is to hang in there...

As well you need to buy a better lift pump, either a FASS pump from DPP, or a Walbro kit from Glacier Diesel. I have only one thing like yours, a ball joint and the tech broke my bearing too. But I insisted they pay for it

Also I tend to run the balls of my truck, not much towing, but it spends alot of time overfueled and near redline.

good luck to you
