Maybe somebody already posted about this... I was surfing eBay and saw an 03 for sale with 3 miles on it. The six speed pressure plate assembly apparently shattered (clutch still intact) which left the pressure plate facing to eject and completely sever the bellhousing. It sliced the floorpan/firewall (like a hot knife thru butter) and entered the dash under the right side of the tunnel. Very nasty. Lucky the Dodge employee who was driving this still has his feet.
I have seen clutches come apart, but this looks entirely to be the pressure plate. Perhaps, should say most likely, that the employee dumped the clutch and got this surprise. Maybe Dodge is making the clutches better than they used to... Or maybe the engine ran away???
Would make a great little fixer as the sticker is $37k and it is currently selling for $10k. Probably will hit $20k. It would take some time to repair the dash, weld the floorpan, replace the six speed, wiring and the exhaust. Hopefully the engine did not internally lock up and cause this.
