So I've had my truck for 2 years and just bought a smarty jr for alittle more power. I've found the tow tune is what it likes the best so far set up with all the factory defaults. My question is I've read where changing the timing and torque management can also make big improvements but not sure what to change to.. Some say torque management adds power while others say timing.... Any help??? Truck is all stock and I don't drive hard just roll into the throttle

I also only see 24 psi boost on my edg cs monitor and my truck is the 250 hp version... I keep reading on guys seeing mid 30's!!! What gives*

You have a smaller turbo that doesn't work as well with higher boost, in the 30-32 psi is all that HE341 really likes for max boost. The HE351 on the +04.5 will run into the high 30's before things get out of hand.

TQ management reduces the low\no bust fueling curve, by removing it (going up in the TM numbers) you are adding fuel down low to move the truck faster and spool the turbo. That will, of course, add power in the lower rpms under 1800.

Timing helps more with efficiency than power, however, by increasing the efficiency it does add power in places on the rpm band.

Neither timing nor TM will change the HP\TQ and rated rpms, it just bumps it in the low to mid range. The SW levels actually add fuel across the rpm range for more power.

It def adds some smoke down low. I don't hammer the throttle but more roll into it. Once the truck locks up at 50 if I roll into the throttle it throws some smoke. Haven't really noticed a lot under normal driving in town but not sure I like it. Black smoke-wasted energy...*

It is a balance between TM, timing, and fueling to get it to work right. Too much timing kills turbo spool but increases efficiency, reduce the TM to add fueling under 1800 rpms to get that back. Generally. if you roll into the throttle instead of stabbing it smoke is almost non-existent with stock injectors, larger injectors takes more tuning than the box SW's offer to get that balanced correctly.

I'm finding the low end response is a lot better than it used to be and if I watch my input I can accelerate with hardly any sign of smoke. Just with tm-2 on SW2! I need to look into a low stall convertor because I was told mine is starting to show signs of wear (shudder) from a stop under heavy load. No slipping anywhere else. If I could afford a dang transmission I would just do it with 217k on the clock but dang they are made of gold lol

Add a little timing and that might cut what smoke you do have out and allow a little more throttle input.
