Decided to baseline my truck today on a local dynojet. Operator had trouble getting a timing signal but managed to get it going after an hour of fiddling around. Best pull netted 200. 3hp\369. 4 tq on a stock SO with 47RE. Now that we've got that established... bombs away!!!

Curious - do these numbers look in line for a stock SO with auto?

Your results were better than mine. My first run was 152. 9 Hp and 305. 1 ft-llbs. I still think there was something wrong with the dyno, I went after some one through up some big numbers. With my Edge Ez box set at the default level (level 3) I had 223. 6 hp and 415. 2 ft-lbs. These numbers do not agree with my quarter mile speeds. When using the formulas putting in my top speed or the time it took me to travel the 1/4 mile, I show numbers comparable to what you dyno'd. But to sum it up, your numbers seem to be on track. Your 20% loss in the drive train is more acceptable then my 39%. I will stick with my Hp numbers form the 1/4 mile times, it is more respectable :D .

I too came to the same conclusion, Dyno's are going to be different and I stopped beating my head figuring out why I had such low HP and torque. Also when I ran on the dyno, my truck was cold, all fluids did not have a chance to heat up, I had less then a mile to the dyno and the temps were in the 20's that night. Who knows, that may have been a reason why I was low.

Update - since performing the base line analysis (original #'s at beginning of thread), the following performance modifications were made:

- Banks Six-Gun

- Banks Speed-Loader

- Banks Monster Exhaust

Same dyno, same dyno operator, same ambient air temp\humidity, same warm up cycle.

Results:

Max HP - 295. 8

Max TQ - 610. 9

Net "Banks" difference:

HP - 95. 5

TQ - 241. 5

Truck - 2003 CTD SO 47RE.

Note 1 - Test run on level 6.

Note 2 - aFe ProGuard w/Torque Tube installed for baseline and Banks modified test.

Next test will include Big Head Actuator. Received too late for today's testing.

This is what my 03 so 5spd did at Indy Dyno Day

First Run K&N Cold Air Kit/ Box off HP 204 TQ 380

Second Run K&N Cold Air/ Box on 50hp HP 247 TQ 445

Third Run K&N Cold Air/ Box on 100hp HP 300 TQ 573

The truck has 33/12. 50/17 tires, stock clutch, The box was a Quadzilla 0-50-100hp. I'd say it done it's job very well but the dyno was a dyno jet and i really don't think it was loading the truck enough i thought the # was about 50hp off but according to every body else it's about right
