I am working on an 03 CR for a friend it was having problems starting. I could cycle the key listen for the lift pump and it would start. I installed new Air Dog pump on the truck. Now it starts and promptly dies. The pump continues to run even when it dies. It really doesn't start any better than before, still having to listen for the pump to run before I crank it. I don't have any smoke and the truck is stock with 195K miles on it. Do I have a sensor problem, Fuel Control Actuator, or something else. I got rid of the air bubbles in the lines. And this has got to be the 3rd or 4th Air Dog I have installed and never had any issues. I really don't think it is the pump at all. I would really appreciate any help you have. Thanks

Maybe a mistake I made will help you. Verify you are hooked to the correct port on the CP3. When I put a FASS on my 03 I hooked up to I think the return port on the CP3, I had traced the lines back to the filter and got them crossed up in the process. The truck did basically what you are describing, start and immediately die. Finally I looked at the picture in the instructions and retraced the lines and found that I had them wrong. Hope this helps.

That is exactly what I had done thanks for pointing that out to me. I really appreciate it.
