Archived '03 Trany Fluid

Is the '03 trany fluid a full syn? It calls for ATF+4, one dealer said after market was fine, another said it could not be purchased aftermarket? It has to be purchased thru Chry. , Another dealer said atf+4 full syn would be o. k. ?

I have purchaced ATF+4 full syn (Valvoline), fluid is draining now.

Please help,

ATF+4 is all that is used, up to the 06 models. I believe ATF has been synthetic since ATF+2 or something. . may be wrong tho i duno. .
