03CTD vs. 6L Furd Dyno

Dyno Day New Orleans:

Got a chance to meet Copteroc,Pumperdude and Ramminon(won contest)

There was only one Furd 6L and one 03 CTD(mine).



stock my 03' CTD 296hp(w/ 6500 miles & dino oil) very suprised i think i got a good one, these trucks are incredible

stock? Furd 6L 300hp



won contest CTD 12V 470hp(thought the dino read on the low side)



highest Furd was 7. 3L 361hp mods?



highest Chevy 338 w/ 90 horse chip,K&N,Flowmaster exhaust



You guys dont flog me to bad for this. I was chosen b/c i had not voted yet to pic the show and shine of the contest. So here goes they pull me aside and tell me that i has to pick b/t the top two trucks to break tie. At this point i said in my mind "easy i will just pick the dodge" then i was informed it was b/t two furds:{ so yes i picked a furd to win the contest of best show and shine.







Overall it was a good day i think they will do it again in the Fall if you want to come down 480 hp will win entire contest

Those numbers are quite different than these numbers from Illinois, did you all check torque as well?... . guess different dyno's have different results...



well the results are in & the midwest oil burners put on a great show at the il dyno center. the weather was perfect. 3 dealerships brought out brand new trucks for the event. the new duramax put down 178 horse & 347 torque. the new ford 6. 0 put down 246 horse & 395 torque & the new dodge ho put down 235 horse & 494 torque. these new trucks were all automatics. i had the high numbers for the day at 341 horse & 700 torque on just the injectors alone then i tuned my box on & put down 440 horse & 830 torque at 0 psi on my fuel pressure gauge. with major fuel pump starvation( i dont have my new fuel system in yet ). im contributing the low numbers with my box on to the poor supply of fuel to the pump. i then turned on the nitrous & put down 563 horse & 1074 torque. did you notice the excellant numbers that i got with the don m edm injectors. these injectors are called 4. 8 not quite a 5 according to rod at wildcat diesel. these things should realy make the power if i can get enough fuel to them. they made 60 horse & 170 torque more than my dd 3s did when i dynoed them. 700 torque with just injectors gotta love it. i'll let everyone know what she does when i get the product engineering pump & big lines installed. all in all it was a very fun day & i met alot of great guys they all drove fords but they were still great guys. i was the only dodge there except for the dealership truck. see ya later. kurt.

remember my truck is a 6speed and we are at 0 sea level. what is your elevation and temps when you dynoed. also i was running a heavy, heavy mixture of fuel conditioner In know this made some d/f. But i will say this some trucks make more hp than others of the same model. stock dmax dyno around 250hp. stock 7. 3 around 190. if a 60 hp box was added 58hp was attained. this dyno they say is the best on the market. sounds like a nice mod to you guys trucks who are North of the Mason Dixon is to drive down to New Orleans and dyno you might pick up 40hp.



actually a guy came down for missouri and dyno below what he though he might so like i say i think the numbers are legit. I can tell you one thing this truck hauls butt stock.
