Look on the drivers door jamb for a build date

Look on the engine tag for the HP #

mine is an 04. 5

325hp/600lbs_ft torque

6 sp nv5600

2500 4x4



I think the 04 are 300?? hp 555lbs_ft torque plus other minor differences.

Look on the data plate on the drivers side of the valve cover.

'04= 305hp/555tq less emissions (no cat, 2 injection events, better mpg)



'04. 5= 325hp/610tq

04= 305/555, but there was also a 235 HP California model.

04. 5= 325/600 (all of them built after 1/1/04 were this spec)

05= 325/610

All of the above is good information, but being a math major, the difference between 2004 and 2004. 5 is 0. 5.
