I ran one for about 2 weeks. At cruising speeds it is very mellow, but under load even empty, it has a resonating drone that will drive you out of the cab. It was totally unbearable towing a trailer up a 2 mile 6%-8% grade. If you leave the cat alone it may been different, I cleaned my cat out and re-installed it. I ordered a Flowmaster chambered muffler and it tamed it down very nicely. I found, in my opinion, the biggest restriction is in the cat, not the muffler. The pipe from the turbo to the cat has turned a very dark blue. The cat was blue and the blue disappeared half way to the muffler. I believe the waste gate was opening prematurely when it was under heavy load and the air temps were around 102-105. I would loose power under load and hear a hissing noise similar to a air leak. As usual, the dealer said nothing in the computer, so nothing wrong. I questioned the blue cat, they said normal. When gassers turn blue, you replace the cat! The biggest benefit is the reduced EGTs and the improved turbo response. My fuel milage went up from 8-9 to 15. 6-16. 8! Hand calculated.
