04.5 6 Speed - engine brake

Does anyone know why I can't get an engine brake for my new truck with a 6 speed transmission? I was told by my local dealer and a friend who works in a private shop that one can not be installed yet? I got tired of waiting for an automatic that could get one, but I thought for sure there wouldn't be a problem with the manual.

I am also getting terrible fuel mileage. I had it flashed last week and haven't had a chance to see if there is any difference. I sure miss my 96. I got great mileage with it.

If you have a manual 6 speed transmission..... and the shop your talking to doesn't know of any engine (exhaust?) brakes... . search the TDR for "exhaust brake(s)" in this forum.



I love my PacBrake on my '04. 5 6 speed!

There has been a stop sell on the jacob's brake for now... PacBrake makes an exceptional brake, you might wish to check out their web sight... .
