Engine Died and Wont Start back up

Truck is disabled guys so I hope this is ok to post here. In the middle of a FASS 95 Titanium Signature Series install.
Early 04 5.9 24v. Have original lift pump on side of engine @back of fuel canister.
I need to know exactly HOW you disable/disconnect the old original fuel pump PROPERLY? These latest FASS TSS 95's do not give you the older WH1002 or 1004 wiring harness, which (from what I'm told) pluggef directly into the old lift pumps wiring plugs. The wiring harness FASS sends has you plug directly into any available 10a "ignition-hot" fuse slot.
The online instructions say NOTHING about how to properly (electronically) disable the old lift pump on side of engine. There are THREE plugs (2 wires each) plugging into my old lift pump. One on the back, and two on the front of lift pump. I believe one on front is Fleetguard fuel heater, but not sure about the one on front, or the one on the back? I need to know if I just unplug them all? Or what? Also, will doing so throw any codes or set of any dash lights?
Very surprised FASS online instructions did not cover this.
Finally, FASS has now gone to a totally reversed design with these new filters. Watwr separator is no longer first in line. Filters are indeed reversed according to Thoroughbred diesels latest video on the subject. FASS even stamped the filter location diagrams on these new filters.
SO, can anyone help me get back rolling here and properly disconnect old lift pump and fuel heater/water-in-fuel sensor so it is not trying to run all the time?
As I said, this new design has you tie directly into the fuse box, and you do not use the original lift pump wiring or plugs.

FYI the old wiring harnesses that plugged into old lift pump were wh-1002 and 1004 harnesses. What FASS sent me is a part d WH 1006. I like the other older harnesses better. Not sure why FASS sent this 1006 harness. Not as good a harness IMO

i installed a fass 150 on my 03 about 425k ago,if i remember correct i used the oem fuel pump power to control a relay that was connected to battery power, the other 2 plugs are for the heater and the water in fuel sensor,i just left them unplugged.made a harness to plug the wif sensor to my fass but never got around to installing it.

Sounds like you had the old wiring harness so you could just plug right in. This is a totally different harness.
As I said, I've got my FASS 95 hooked up and ready to run. I just need to know HOW to properly disable the old lift pump ie which wires to unplug etc? There are two wires on the front (1 top 1 bottom) and one on the back. What do I do with each of them so as to disable the old lift pump and also not set off any codes or dash lights?

Fass Shop installed mine two weeks ago and I just noticed when I bump the starter the old bendix starter still runs and they only disconected the Fuel Inlet and Outlet. I assume if they disconnected it i would get a error code. Not sure but calling Fass on Monday to ask...

Buddman, I spoke to FASS today. They told me to unplug all three wires from the old lift pump. I did and no codes or dash lights at all. Everything works great. I did not mess with the old fuel lines on my original Cummins 04 lift pump as I believe the Bosch CP3 is pumping fuel back through one of the lines (return line) Obviously the original suction/supply line to the CP3 was disconnected though, but as I said, I just left everything else in place.

At the filter canister is only one wire/plug for the pump, the other 2 plugs are for the WIF Light and the Fuel Heater.
It doesn't make sense to unplug them, leave them alone, they are important for a proper and safe operation of the Engine.

Ozy,
Coule you please explain this? How are WIF and Fuel heater important to proper and safe operation of the engine especially since fuel is no longer even present in that bowl to be heated or checked for water? Are you implying unplugging these two plugs could somehow confuse or damage the ECM or something? Very interested to hear what you specifically mean by this. Not doubting you, just trying to learn here.

Oh you bypassed the OEM Filter, well then yes they are obsolete.

I didn't do that when installed my FASS, I still want to know water in fuel, and the OEM Filter act's as last Defense in case I mess up with the Fass Filters or anything.

Water in Fuel is the worst case for a CDI Injection, it destroys the HP Pump almost immediately.
A bad batch of fuel is enough for that.
