I haven't had alot of time lately to do much to my truck, but I finally got around to installing my FASS 95 after my factory lift pump completely died and got me towed home.
Runs fine and I was happy, but it has been cutting out/missing occasionally since. Only for a split second. First I noticed it during normal driving such as cruise set on freeway or low rpm towing. Tonight though, during full throttle and only 50hp setting on BDDL it did it several different times.
Right before the lift pump went I replaced the fuel filter with a Baldwin 5 micron, previously using Fleetguard 7 micron. I also added a quart of tw-3 2 stroke to a full tank cause of all the controversy. I don't believe either to be culprit. I have ran Lucas upper cylinder lube to the fuel since birth.
The install went fine, the FASS is NOISY! I can hear it inside buildings! I used liquid Teflon Joint Compound for all the threads, had a small leak at the AN fitting next to the factory fuel filter but a quick turn of the wrench remedied that. I just opened the valve on the bottom of the fuel filter to prime it and then it fired up.
I am running the poor mans cap (solid bolt) on the cp3 relief valve, no fuel pressure gauges yet, and a couple of boxes stacked occasionally, but mostly just BDDL on low setting.
