I've read a few threads about the aftermarket wheels not being available for the 3500 DRW due to the offset being odd, does anyone know if any wheel companies have addressed this yet, I'd sure like some nice looking wheels for this truck.
The problem with the offset has more to do with single wheel trucks than dual wheel trucks. The problem finding wheels for the dually is that 17" dually wheels are hard to find. Eagle has some. There was a thread concerning these wheels about 6-8 months ago with a link posted to Eagles website. The other option is 19. 5's like I have. Check my reader's rigs for pics.
What Alcoa's are those???? PART # and where do I order!!!! How did you get those on that 3rd Gen!!! Anything special I have to do? My credit card is ready to swipe!!!!
I have been down in the dumps since that information came out that Rickson doesn't have 19. 5" Alums for 3rd gens... You have made my day!
The set-up I have is an old Dual Designs set-up. I think they are still in business. If you notice, the bolt pattern is much larger than stock. The wheels use adaptors to get to the larger size. Some people have reservations about using adaptors, but I ran them on my 98 for 100,000 miles with no problem, The set I have currently came from a friend's 96 that he ran hotshot for awhile with no problems. Do a search on yahoo for "Dual Designs 19. 5 Alcoa" and you'll find them. Another source is www.chromewheel.com but I heard dealing with them is difficult. They have 19. 5, 22. 5, and 24. 5 with all the adaptors.
