04.5 Frost Plug Issues

Has anyone had a frost plug pop out on them? My buddies truck is in the shop having his replaced.

There was a "Rapid Response Recall" about this concerning the early 4. 5 models. I believe most of the trucks with the undersized freeze plugs failed early in their life before they left the dealer's lot. Do a search on "freeze plugs" on the 3rd Gen forum and see what you find. My dealer called and had me bring the truck in for testing, which involved a cold engine start and full throttle for 3 minutes straight which was supposed to induce failure right away on those engines with the under sized freeze plugs. Mine passed and so did others who reported on our forum.
