04.5 Intake

Hi,

Just saw my new 04. 5 2500 4x4 laramie deisel , had a bit if a look around , what is the big solid tube in between the air filter box and the turbo inlet , could this be a device to stop that sexy turbo windup sound?

any news on updates for the 05 models as yet ?

Not to many people run them here but check out the K&N FIPK for the intake very nice setup. Sounds awesome too! The tube is to muffle sound and stop intake air turbulence before entering the turbo.

Matty, i tried to find out some info on the K & N you mentioned & they tell me yhey don't have anything for the 04. 5 yet. Do you have a K& N part #?

Same intake they used for the 03's and 04's. I bought mine at a drag race about two weeks after I got my truck in late january. I will try to get a number.

thanks for the info re the intake i looked up t6he k&n website and the number was 57-1532 .
