04.5 Off Road And LSD

Sure its been discussed. But What does an off road package have over a basic truck? Second what would my truck have a limited slip front and rear or just rear or locker in rear and lsd in front?

I believe the only differences on the off road package is shocks and tires. Limited slip would only be on the rear, front is open and there is no stock "locker" for the rear, just LSD.

How hard is it to put locker in rear and maybe limited slip in front?

Its just stickers and shock covers... Not sure that the shocks themselves are different, or just the red paint and covers. .

If I remember right they had they came with the under carriage rock shields,red shocks,all terrain tires,and a sticker on the side of the bed. I ordered my sport with the rock shields and LSD.

How do you know if it is LSD?

It may indicate gear and LSD on the sticker in the glove box, otherwise have a dealer pull the build sheet from the VIN.

MChildress is right but they also came with the front bumper tow hooks and many times they came with 4. 10's...



The easiest way to tell if it has LSD is to roll the window down and make a tight turn on concrete. If you have LSD you'll hear it chewing the tread off the inside tire. So, actually having LSD is great on these trucks cause when you have the feathered front tires you just put them on the back and they get milled right off so they're smooth again!



Seriously, the back tires on an LSD-equipped truck will have a very straight-across or "flat" carcass profile...
