On my 04.5 [st] every once in a while when i'm turning the wheel the horn toots.[only 1 toot] On sat. it happened when i started the truck to back up to a dock to load stuff,. this time it only tooted in reverse ,BUT it blew just like a panic alarm! i dont HAVE a key FOB!! ?? what gives?! ANNOYING!!! [i dont have power window/locks] simplicity!ahhhhh! thank-you! matthew

IF the horn is honking while turning going forward,I would guess you have a clock spring failing.Other signs of that is intermittent cruise controls and a possible clicking sound when turning.
However,if the horn is honking while backing into a dock and you had a door open, thats a feature Mopar did a few years ago in a update and its very annoying.

The reverse thing is normal. It was part of a recall because some idiot doesnt know how to put the vehicle in park. Hook your seatbelt up and it disables the horn with door open and in reverse.

Now on the turning part, it could be a clock spring or the actual horn switch

that makes sense; Yup, door was open & belt was off. Spring could also be a prob. based on the other toots. i ask & PRESTO! answers! real answers that i can understand! thank you so much! my day just got better! TDR is great! matthew
