I fried my engine and want a new long block ... dose any one know how much they go for?

Depending on what you want to do with the truck, might as well get a engine right from Cummins.

Not positive, I have not asked for a year or so, but remaned long blocks between 5,000-5,500. I think the last time I ask a new long block from Southern Plains Cummins was around 6,500.

super chip with no gauges...

costly mistake... doing 85 up gaviola pass in central cal. pulling our 34' gooseneck too long too hard! fried no. 3 and 5(scored walls) top of my pistons looked white hot... . sounded like a loud clack clack but made it another 80 miles to our camp site:{:{

That'll do it... ... ... ... hence the reason everyone says guages first.



You might find a complete engine from a wreck cheaper. COparts is a nationwide clearinghouse for insurance company wrecks.
