04 gauge lites?? is it still OR&WT like 03

Did DC change the dash lite wire color code or is it still the orange and white wire off the headlite switch. I am installing gauges on a friends 04 and don't want to tap the wrong one.

different than the 03's. do a search on guages and you'll see that I posted a kind of FYI about that very same thing. I would simply tell you, but I forgot what it was. Maybe there is a way to view all my older posts.....

The 04 shop CD shows that the wire is OR/BR which is Orange - Brown.

The connector layout in the manual shows an 8 pin connector on the headlamp switch with no connections on pins one and two. The pin three is the OR/BR that should be the lamp dimmer wire unless DC also changed the switch assembly along with the wire colors.

NOTE: The other OR/BR is on pin six on this connector.

Artie is correct. On my 04 it was the orange/brown wire. I don`t remember which one of the two I used but it works great.
