04 Idles then dies

I'm working on an 04 3500 4x4 and when sitting overnight, the next morning, it will idle and get me down the road a few miles and then dies. If I let it sit a few minutes, it starts and idles, but I can't go down the road. I'm thinking it would be the lift pump. It has 42,000 miles on it and I'm wondering if it's covered under warranty. I had a friend get her 04 lift pump converted to the in-tank model under warranty and I'm wondering if this would be the case here if covered under warranty. What is the warranty on the lift pumps? Thanks.

Had mine done at 85k under warranty (100k) should not cost you a dime

Mine went at 5,000 miles. No warranty question there. Waiting to install my FASS at this time.
