My lift pump set several codes and I was going to take it to the steeler --I mean dealer in Anchorage so I talked to the service desk guy to find out if lift pump was under warranty at 74K miles but the little cluck would not tell me any thing until "one of his mechanics had a look at it" I realy did not want to risk running it the 55 miles to Anchortown only to have them say it is not a warranty item and if it goes belly up on the way I would also have a tow bill to swallow. I finnaly decided the only thing to do is try to make it in to them since it is just around the corner from where I work and I have to drive in any way. I also decided I would change the fuel filter to give it the best chance of making it to town. NICE TRY---- that lift pump is dead as can be. Sucker will not even dribble into the filter canister !!

Any body know if it still covered ? The warranty book in the Cummins 7 yr/100,00 mile section says "fuel injection pump and injectors" is covered but does not mention lift pump.

Its covered with NO deductable until years 6 and 7. Its retro fitted to one in the fuel tank. Had mine done couple months back.
