Who on here has ordered and received the factory service manual from someone selling on ebay?

What I want to know is if what you got was the real deal or a copy.

It just seems suspicious they have a "buy it now" price of $15 for a CD that Dodge charges $90 for.

Thanks

Heck I didn't even know Dodge offered a CD, is it a complete factory repair manual or a DIY manual and do you have a part number?

CD manual

Bob, I bought one of those a couple a years ago. It is most likely a pirate copy. Mine came with a CD label maker label that says "2001 Dodge Factory Manual", with no logos of any kind. It appears to be complete and works fine but no doubt a copy.

I've read on here that it is complete. It's available on the Tech Authoroty web site. Sorry, I don't have a link.

Do a search on here for "service AND manual" and you might have some luck.

I was looking at several auctions for 2004 Service Manuals. I emailed several sellers asking if it covered the new 600. The usual answers were to give the engines that it covers, including the 5. 9 Cummins. Just for fun, I told several of them via email that I knew someone who had the 04. 5 manual, and one responded back that they worked for DC and that if I knew someone who had it to get a copy from them because they could not get one yet. Hmmmmmm.

I called Tech Authority and asked if the 2004 had been updated for the 2004. 5 model change. The lady had no clue - said to call back in a month or two.

The '03 manual I have is an 80MB Adobe PDF file on a disk-those $15 maunals are pirated copies no doubt, but they would be the same as the $90 thing.

Wouldn't the 04 manual serve the 04. 5's? I thought the only difference in the 2 trucks was software code of which you wouldn't find in the manual anyway.

Many consider 48RE 03's as an 03. 5 and the 03 manual covers hardware changes showing both the 47 and 48 trans.

turbo is different, exhaust is different, aftercooler is different... there are some other changes also, but those are the major ones

I got the updated 2004. 5 CD from Tech Authority. I haven't looked at it yet, since the 2004 version they originally sent works for my truck. It is complete and works from Adobe reader. I have printed out some pages, and that goes smoothly too. Who knows about the $15 version but I strongly suspect it is a homemade copy.
