I just got this truck, and LOVE IT!!! However, I'm noticing a vibration in the steering wheel all the time. It feels like it is motor related. It's not bad, just a small constant vibration, almost enough to make your hands numb. Seems to be worst at 60-65. and then I can feel it threw the accelerater pedal as well. Is this normal??

Many posts on this topic concerning '03 and '04s. It appears that half of us have the issue and half don't. There are ways to minimize. Suggest searching posts using "vibration" and key word.

WOW there is a lot about this vibration!! Thanks!! I guess it is now a waiting game with DC to figure it out.

I couldn't wait and took it upon myself to do something about it. A lot of people said the following items helped to reduce the vibration:

1. Straight 4" exhaust from the turbo

2. TAG

3. Less restrictive air cleaner

I added the 4" exhaust and the AFE air cleaner and the symptoms are almost gone. But your results may differ.

Good luck!

DODGE BETTER GET IT FIXED

Boy when the word gets around to the 17,000 + TDR People and all the people they tell, Well that might just cause a scare in the re Stock and the Holders of that Stock don't want to hear about that. . How Bout it Dodge are you going to Fix this Vibration????

A diesel that vibrates. Imagine that...

I hope word that Harleys vibrate doesn't get out. Talk about numb hands. Add feet and fanny to that. At 65mph my Harley will blur your vision. All Harleys are defective. Gotta love 'em.

All four of my Dodge Cummins trucks have vibrated. The last three were noisy as a jack hammer on top of it.

My '84 Isuzu vibrated at idle and hummed at 70.

Yes I find it annoying too. To the point that my next truck may very well be a HEMI. Diesels are all computerized now so simplicity isn't there anymore. I can afford to drive a fairly new vehicle so I'm not too concerned about 350,000 miles. But the novelty has long worn off and if it becomes annoying enough, I'll trade it for something else. But the Cummins vibrates and it's normal. It smooths out some with more miles but will always be there. You either love it or hate it.

Hey Steve, I see your Harley is a '92. Have you ridden one of the new softails with the counterbalanced twincam engine? It's about 95% as smooth as my '99 dresser. The rear view mirrors on either are clear from idle to as fast as you care to take them. Things have changed somewhat in the last 12 years. BTW, I had 86 and 97 vintage softails so know about the vibration from solid mount Evos.

BUY A HARLEY

After this, i guess i'll get a Harley instead of a Diesel Truck. Then I won't need the TDR, then I won't need to Write these notes. Then i won't have to have any fun anymore and i can just Ride My Harley off into the Sunset and Freeze My Rear off. Maybe i should just Quit while i'm ahead... . :D

I agree I don't think it should do it. Being a heavy equipment operator/truck driver I have driven many diesel, and it isn't normal! It sounds like there are differant variations of this vibration. I think my is related to the steering pump. I don't get the drone, and mine is tolerable. If it was worse I would be upset!

Can I get a harley that will pull me 5ver??:-laf

I put 5" exhaust and ez and the vibration is almost gone. lots of drone though. i think the drone is going to be thier in sound if not in sound then in vibration( if that makes sense)

I might have to check out one of them new Harley's! But it'll have to wait 'til my truck is paid for. I just bought some side molding for my truck so now I'll have to keep it and suffer the vibration and drone. :D

HAVE THE TIRE'S CK FOR OUT OF ROUND . DODGE PUT 6 NEW TIRE'S ON MY TRUCK BECAUSE OF SAME VIBRATION . IT WOULD START AT 60 MPH & VIBRATE MORE AT 80 MPH
