05 3500 4x4 shakey take off...

my truck always is "shakey" on take off, not smooth at all for the first few seconds . anyone know why? I have a new rebuilt transmission but it did this before...

Need to define "shakey" a bit better, that doesn't really describe anything useful. A list of you truck, miles, trans, and mods is also invaluable.

A manual truck could be "shakey" just from how you are slipping\not slipping the clutch from a standing start. An auto would never exhibit those tendencies, concise descriptions will help a lot.

ok I have a 5.9 with the banks big hoss bundle on it. -- cold air intake, 4 in exhaust no cat, intercooler with tubes and air horn, and banks iq tuner. auto transmission heavy built with billet input shaft-- 48re trans. 5 in lift. What I mean by shakey is well not smooth, kinda like it catches then doesn't then catches..... but real quick. like 5-8 unsmooth feeling every time it starts from a dead stop. hard to explain exactly how it feels just isn't like most auto's I've driven...

5" lift and 37" tires? You are probably suffering from some severe axle wrap and driveline deflection. With out traction bars and a 1 piece DS things get really weird with a lift. Can't ignore the trans either, who's build is it?

I would look at universals or sticking brake caliper.
