05 Air Conditioning Noise

With this latest heat wave, and my black 2005 Single Cab, and my black cloth interior, at about 9 or when ever it is I start my truck in the morning, that small air space is alrighty mighty hot. So the last few times I have gone to turn on the AC after first start of the day, it has made a grind/clunk noise right as it starts. It only makes the noise the first time I turn the truck on, and start the AC for the FIRST time. Any time after the first run, it does not make the noise. Can someone please tell me what this is or has anyone heard it? Thanks, Chris

Mine too

My AC goes "clunk" when I first turn it on. I can actually feel it. Took it into the dealer - says it's "normal". Been doing it since new. Now 33,000 miles and it has not gotten worse - or better. What's a guy to do?
