05 fan clutch rebuild?

I have my fan clutch removed and was wondering if it is rebuildable? it was diagnosed by a good mechanic after throwing a fan code and I was going to replace it myself.

It's replaced as an assembly and you don't want to go aftermarket, they just dont work right.
