Hey everyone, I'm a new member and am hoping that I am doing this correctly.

I have an '05 CTD and put the Triple Dog Downloader in it with an AFE intake and some other mods. But my question is: Why does my fuel guage have a mind of its own? When I fill up it shows full... good. When I'm empty, it shows empty... good. Every where else in between though, it will show completely full or completely empty. Then after about 20 minutes of drive time it will go to 1/2 or 3/4's of a tank, which I know is the actual fuel level that I have, then it will go back to full or empty and so on. Does this have anything to do with the BullyDog? Its starting to get annoying! Dodge said that there isn't a problem though.

I'm guessing that you have either a stuck float or a problem with a bad connection...

I own 3 trucks... 04, 04. 5, 05 and all have fuel gauges that work well... when we stuff the tanks it takes some time for the fuel gauge to come down off of the F mark. . but it functions well and the low fuel light comes on about the right time... .

Yeah, my guage will work properly when my tank is full. But just for a short amount of time. Dodge said that they ran a float test and checked my guage and that everything was cool. But I have actually watched the needle go to full and then watched it return to empty agian within a feew minutes. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem before and see if I couldn't troubleshoot it. Thanks for the reply though.
