I installed a fuel pressure gauge on my 05 last week. I was concerned that I was pulling the pressure way down. I tapped into the bottom of the filter canister. I am seeing 9-10 idling around and cruising at 70. With the TST on level 5 and I really get into it the lowest I see is 6-7. I feel that I am ok at this time. I am looking forward to stacking the VA 3. 1, it is the next step. I am wondering if the pressure will hold up?

Is this similar to what others are seeing?

I had the 05 fuel pump upgrade on my truck done and I get the same PSI, About 9-10 at idle, and I can pull it down to about 3 psi with the TST on 7/7 and the EZ on 3.

Those are really good numbers for a stock pump. Did you use the Autometer electric gauge? I was seeing 6 psi at idle, after i installed the GDP kit its now 21 at idle. My reason for posting is you might lose that extra cooling and lubricating of the CP3 if you add any more power. Maybe add that GDP 2 micron filter instead, you'll only lose . 5 psi.

So are you saying that dc is upgrading the stock lift pump in the truck?

No, all LP replacements are now the in-tank pump. Mattymac has an 04. 5 that had the LP on the filter housing. Even the 2nd gen trucks are getting the in-tank pump if they are still under warranty or the owner ops for the LP replacement thru the dealer.
