Sorry for the open end question--have a 05, with a build date of Nov. 04--it will be going out of warrenty soon, as I approch 30,000 plus miles. I'm trying to build a list for the service dept. that needs to be looked at.

At this time I have only, (that I know of) a leaking front pinion seal, and the crappy sounding infinty radio!!

I haven't noticed the door weather seals? What else--any special flashes?? My gas milage seems in line with others--not as good as I'd like--but 16+ 2000RPM/70--

Thanks for your imput, Rocky;)

Make sure they check the ball-joints and the front wheel bearings, rear u-joints. If you are running the factory BF rugged trails for tires and the sidewalls have whitelines or cracks your BF dealer will warranty them.

My 05 needed all that before 30k.

Power steering leaks are all too common as well...

Keep um coming guys, and if you know the TSB# besure to include it!! On the subject of steering--I had to have the steering box replaced with only 20,000 miles on the truck!!:{ I'm sure as it goes out of warrenty, it will ALL-show up-LOL-Rocky;)

Got mine with 29,000 miles late Oct 06, and have since surpassed 50,000. Knock on wood, but I've not had any issues to this point. BTW, anyone know how to grease the front u-joint. I think it's the double-cardan. Couldn't find the place to grease it. Must use a needle.

Bought my 05 in Dec 2004 ,only have 8600 miles on it. Glad i bought the extended warranty cause the time will be up before the miles will.

Hope she holds .

You'll be sorry!

Make sure they DON'T do the stupidity flash - I would be very leary of any "flashes". DC may be forcing this issue now. Check with the service advisor or his boss and tell them you DO NOT WANT the "honk the horn when I'm backing up with the door open" flash.

I've got a different approach on this... . if its not giving me a problem I wouldn't let anyone touch it... ... the monkeys in the service department seem to screw up more than they can fix..... so the less touched the better as far as I can tell. . I own 5 DC vehicles and only 2 have ever been in the dealer... . I've yet to have a dealer experience that was good... .

My 04 now has 240K, my 04. 5 must be at 75K, my 05 at 62K, an 05 Jeep at 17K and the wifes car an 03 I think at 75K... . Plus my Fords... .

When we have taken them into the dealer we have to check their work for loose fasteners, proper fluid levels..... etc... . just not worth it to give them a laundry list... .

I'm with you Jim. I bought my 05 in July of 05 & it's never been back to a dealer & unless it's a warranty claim it never will be.

I would look into getting the new alternator pulley installed. I had mine done after i lost my second belt. I also just had my ball joints and wheel joints replaced as well(but i have 60k). I have also had my power seat tracked repalced once and it needs to be replaced again. But luckily i got the extended warranty.
