Anyone out there remove their intank pump and replace w/ frame mounted pump? Just wondering what you put in place of the pump inside the tank? Is there a special type of fuel line that is made for in-tank use?

Thanks in advance

Tony

I know with the FASS system you leave the intank pump in and install another pickup. it is designed so you can switch back to stock very easily.

Thanks. Good to know. I just downloaded FASS install instructions and I'll run a similar setup with a seperate fuel pickup installed in the tank. Still have to find out what type of fuel line is good to use inside a tank being that fuel will be in contact with outside of the line. Don't want any problems down the road.

I ran a new pickup in the tank using the piece of stainless line that I cut out to install a Carter pump and some misc. compression fittings. Unplug the in tank pump by removing the POS from the tank and unplug it directly, cover the wires with good tape or heatshrink. You can leave it in the tank incase you ever need to switch back. I ran a new piece of rubber line from the new pickup to the pump. Then tap into the power line at the tank.
