My '05 Laramie just started making a deep throaty sound when the blower motor is running. On High it actually drowns out the engine noise. But, the heat and AC still operate OK. Is this a warning that the blower motor is due for replacement, it blows normal volumns of air. It almost sounds like the air intake is blocked. Any ideas or comments are welcome. As we are visiting our daughter in Texas by Fort Hood, I'd like it to be 100% operational for our trip back to Washington State next week. Thanks

My 05 did that many years ago. A napkin from the glove box made its way into the fan.

I’d check for debris first, and if clean I’d order a fan.

I pulled the blower motor. 8mm socket needed. Here is what I found inside the fan. Removed, spun to listen for bearing noise-AOK, reinstalled. Operates as normal now. Thanks for the input. See photo for the culprit.

Now you need to order the door repair kit and pull the HVAC box. The seal on the fresh air door is gone and next will be the door then you will have fresh cold air all the time thru the glove box.
