My uncle is probably getting a new Cummins and we want to build it up a little bit. I have some easy questions for you guys.

With the Cummins 600 and a standard trans, what kind of mileage is normal for stock?

Now if we put on the Edge computer, 4 inch exhaust, and a good air filter, what would the mileage go up to?

What gears would be best for highway driving and 35 inch all terrains?

Also How long will the stock G56 clutch old up to a Juice while towing?

1) I get 18 - 19 MPG commuting and have gotten up to 21 MPG on the freeway taking it real easy.

2) 4" exhaust is standard since 2004. 5.

3) The only axle ratio available with the G56 is the 3. 73.

I'm really stupid about the rest of your questions.

it depends on what level you are running the edge box on. if you are towing heavy and running extra power the clutch will not last regardless of what transmission you are running. the manufacturers put clutches in these that they feel is more than adequate for a stock truck, we just don't leave them that way. :D On my NV5600 mine lasted 5000 miles of hard driving and towing a gross of 18,000 lbs at times with the TST box on level 6-6 and more than enough air to satisfy it. Needless to say I was not shocked when it started slipping the other day. :D I was kinda happy knowing it would be time to order a new clutch. :D
