05 transmission swap from auto to a 5 speed

I recently took the auto out and replaced it witha 5 speed but having issues, had a issue with the shifting it's revving up to around 3000 rpms and almost stalling so I was told to get a smarty so I got the so6 smarty now the truck will run for a min and shut off now it won't run now help!!!!!

I can't say for sure but you might need a reflash to a manual trans ecm.
Maybe yes maybe no but he might be able to help you out.
