05 with p0088 code

Truck runs fine no smoke or injector knock, it will shut down whenever it is above 1700 rpm. Replaced FCA no change, took it to a dealer and they said it was the cp3, I disagreed but they insisted that was the problem it was not. They said the truck is stalling when it calls for more than 18000 psi and the pcm is calling for over a 100,0000 psi.stock tune and they already flashed the pcm. Any ideas? Thanks Todd

If it is calling for 100k psi the ECM programming is corrupted or there is a bad hard part. Should never call for that much psi, are sure that isn't KPa? 100k KPa is about 14.5 psi which is normal. Did they replace the CP-3 with no change? What was actual when 18k psi is demanded, that will tell you if the CP-3 is keeping up.

Replaced the cp3 with no change. They say it is fine till it calls for more than 18000 then it goes nuts.

What goes nuts, the ECM? If actual and demanded do not agree the ECM will no necessarily shut down and go nuts, it will start stretching duration to compensate until the rail drains and it starts bucking. If it just shuts down and won't rev anymore than throws weird codes probably an ECM issue.
