potentially found an 06 3500 DRW, Laramie 6spd, with 126K miles for $13,900. 00, should I be afraid because of the miles or would even be a good deal? It seems clean by the pics, in one pic there is a black box mounted under the dash on the left side that has a switch that says on/off overdrive, and what looks like a push/pull switch on the shifter???? what could that be on a 6spd???? Thanks... .....

it probably has an auxilary over drive unit like a gear vendors unit or similar... I wouldnt be afraid of a truck with that kind of miles if you could ket some vehicle history from the original owner...

Gosh, from my side of the coin where I keep a truck for 500K miles that's a great value...

The guy who owned has hauled something with it, as that's high mileage for an 06... .

We put about 30 - 50K a year on each of our trucks. . with an 04 that has passed 300K...

If it wasn't so far away, I'd go look at it and consider it... for that amount of money...

The PacBrake shifter switch is a $30 option... but the 2 speed switch for a large truck is about $10... . and there are a lot of guys who like that style of switch... all the late model gear vendors we've installed shift with inputs from a computer, dash or floor mounted switch... I'm guessing you could move that switch to the shifter, but since you'd use it much less than an exhaust brake it doesn't seem likely that's what most people would do... so I'm betting on the exhaust brake. .
