06,3500srw,auto with 3.73,Possible?

Can you get 3. 73 gears in an 06,3500srw automatic. Thats what I ordered but it came with 4. 10s. Fuel milage is :--) bizzare.

My 3500 MegaCab has 3. 73's. My mileage isn't too good but it is the way I drive!!!!!

3. 73s or 4. 10s, you will not see much of a difference at all with the auto, you are better off with the 4. 10s if you tow anything, these hprc engines are pretty gutless below 2k rpms, the 4. 10s put you where you need to be, above 2k rpms when you are on the highway.

The answer to your question is -- yes. If you ordered 3. 73's and got 4. 10's, talk to the dealer and get it fixed if it is important to you.



I run empty most of the time, and when I tow, its only 2-4k. The 3. 73's with 285 or 295 tires put me in the rpm sweet spot between 70-75mph.
