06 5.9 diesel pinging metallic noise in engine?

I have an 06 5. 9 cummins, when running at idle or around 2200 rpm there is an intermediate noise like high pitch pinging or metallic type noise in valvetrain and or exhaust, could that be an injector, and how do i diagnose this. would loose valve adjustment cause this, or over tightening?

Check the number four injector fuel line clamp!. It's common for them to work loose.

I just fixed my #4 clamp for the second and I hope last time. 1st time, tightened clamp, thought that was it. Year plus later 2nd time removed clamp and examined parts. Found the thin washer under bolt had dished itself into the bracket, large hole & thin washer didn't seem to work. Replaced washer with a #10 washer happened to be AN grade, annoying rattle seems gone.

Well, hopefully solved problem, found #3 exhaust valve to be loose, about . 035 valve lash, tightend to . 026 and seems quieter.
